Mona Krogstad Quartet

Through solid composition and lush melodies, the music creates a landscape that invites to improvisation and playful interplay. The music draws inspiration from the old jazz tradition and saxophonists like Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson, but also from the modern and Scandinavian jazz scene.

Mona Krogstad Quartet will release their debut album 2th of september 2022, Virgo Sun, on Øra Fonogram.

JUNO

JUNO is a young band consisting of five musicians who met at the prestigious Jazz Academy in Trondheim, Norway. Their catchy pop tunes combine complex groovy rhythms, rap and experimental improvisation. All of these elements result in an exciting and energetic live performance, which during the last three years has been widely appreciated by the Norwegian audience.

They’ve headlined festivals and venues like 12 Points Festival in Amsterdam (NL), Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival (GB), Chris Beetles Gallery in London (UK), Vinterjazz in Aarhus (DK), Brötz in Göteborg (SE) and several festivals at the Norwegian pop- and jazzscene.

Our critically acclaimed album “Young Star” got released the 24th of January 2020 on the label Jazzland Recordings. The record is produced by Kristoffer Lo (Highasakite, PeLbO) and presents 12 different tracks within their chaotic and energetic universe.

In 2022 JUNO got the title “Nordic Jazz Comets 2022”
In 2020 JUNO got an award as “Artist of the year” by Subjekt.
In 2018 JUNO got nominated as “Most promising artist of the year” by UtAwards and Adresseavisa.

ladybird orchestra

The jazz sextet Ladybird Orchestra plays melodious jazz with catchy melodies and expressive lyrics, and at the same time is completely afraid of good, exploratory improvisation. With members from bands such as Kongle Trio, Master Oogway, Damata, Oslo 14 and Mall Girl, the band draws inspiration from very varied music.

Superspreder

Uncompromising, energetic and shameless. SUPERSPREDER takes inspiration from hip hop, electronica and jazz. The band originates from the jazz conservatory Jazzlinja in Trondheim, Norway, with members from all around Scandinavia. Hypnotizing grooves with lyrics containing a large palette of moods, bringing an irresistible and contagious force up on stage.
